I’m Joan Sotkin and I’ve been marketing goods and services online since 1995 through my site ProsperityPlace.com. My passion is helping small business owners build a profitable online presence while dealing with whatever money issues are holding them back.

My work with money issues is done at ProsperityPlace.com. Here at SotkinWeb.com, I provide opportunities for business owners and solo practitioners to create an effective online presence and streams of income without spending a lot of money.

From 1995 to 2002, Sotkin Web Services was on the leading edge of Website design and development for small businesses. We guided many of our clients onto the Web for the first time and taught the principles of Inernet marketing through our popular ezine, the E-Commerce Advisor.

In 2002, I decided to put all of my attention into ProsperityPlace.com while writing books and creating audios. Website development was getting much more complicated and, since I’m not a hard-core techie, decided to sit on the sidelines.

Then, a few years ago, along came WordPress and social media. WordPress provided me with the opportunity to easily create a number of small sites for myself and social media was a great way to reach out to a whole new audience.

People started asking me lots of questions about Websites and Internet marketing. So I did some workshops and have gradually been building sites for small business owners who want to get online on a limited budget and who need a lot of guidance because they aren’t comfortable with technology.

My clients appreciate the fact that I’m not a super techie and talk their language. I have super techies on my team, but I’m the one who communicates with them.
